Welcome to Bearberry Ranch! Here we train Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes in the art of sled dog racing. The name Bearberry is from a type of plant that grows in northern climates. Our racing colors are red, for the small round berry that grows on the Arctic bush. Each dog in our kennels here gets daily exercise, and training excursions to the mountains happen monthly (we spend 3 days to a week in the mountains, depending on the weather). 

If we feel a dog is up to the task, they also get their own spot in the limelight as show dogs over at PKC. Most dogs in our kennel will go on to show in the PKC to earn their titles. However, we will not push our dogs too much. This is why we alternate between showing the dogs and training them for the races. 

*All sled dogs have been raised naturally by hand. Any pups resulting from these dogs has been natural.
